Steady: 10-day mourning pause

How to read this report. Instagram figures are read from the native Instagram Insights dashboard over its rolling 30-day window, 31 August – 30 September 2026. Daily views peaked at the very start of that window (≈13K on 31 August) and posting was paused for 10 days during the mourning period. Inbox figures were counted from the Instagram inbox on 1 October 2026. September is the first month of the engagement, so it sets the baseline for month-on-month comparison from October. Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn are not reported because access to those accounts was not provided in September, and no paid campaigns ran in the period.

02 — Highlights of the Month

Modaks, mithai
and Bappa's arrival.

September marked our first month working with Bikanervala. We began building the brand's social media presence around Ganesh Chaturthi, with content that brought the festive Modak Collection, the care behind its preparation, and the joy of sharing mithai with loved ones into focus. We also featured Bikanervala's festive hampers as a gifting option for the occasion.

During the month, 6 feed posts and 5 stories were published. Posting was then paused for 10 days in observance of the mourning period.

The 5 feed posts and 10 stories that were not shot or created will be carried forward to October.

Access to TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn was not provided during September, so we could not begin publishing on those platforms.

Reels engaged, posts reached. Static posts reached the most accounts (9.4K, against 8.2K for Reels and 5.7K for stories), but Reels generated almost twice the interactions of posts — 284 against 147 — with a far larger share of that engagement coming from non-followers. With 1,587 profile visits from 14,892 accounts reached, roughly one in ten people who saw the content went on to open the full profile. These figures come from Instagram's own insights over its rolling 30-day window, 31 August – 30 September.

Who is actually watching.

A UAE-based, family-age audience: 61.8% of followers are in the UAE and 72.6% are aged 25–44 — the household decision-makers who buy sweets, hampers and catering for family occasions.

"Bappa's favourites have arrived!"

Bikanervala reel "Bappa's favourite has arrived!" — hands opening a Modak Collection gift box beside a golden Ganesha idol

Why it worked

A 28-second reel unboxing the Modak Collection beside a Ganesha idol — festive, tactile and instantly recognisable. It was the month's most-viewed and most-shared piece by a wide margin, 3,391 views — roughly three times the next strongest post — and the top driver of new follows.

It was found well beyond the feed: 27.9% of views came from the Reels tab and 16.5% from Search — people actively looking for Ganesh Chaturthi sweets. With a 56.8% skip rate, a faster opening hook is the main lever for the next reel.

04 — The Way Forward

October 2026:
ready for Diwali.

With the Ganesh Chaturthi baseline set, October focuses on the biggest sweets season of the year — while widening Bikanervala's appeal to the broader UAE audience.

  1. Plan ahead for Diwali

Finalise the content calendar, shoot requirements and approvals early so festive content is ready to publish throughout the season.

  2. Broaden the content appeal

Create content that feels welcoming and relevant to the wider UAE audience, while continuing to celebrate Bikanervala's Indian heritage.

  3. Make the page more engaging

Introduce more relatable, interactive and UGC-style content to encourage participation and improve reach and engagement.

  4. Build consistent paid support

Run a monthly paid media plan to give key content and campaigns a steady push, rather than relying on occasional boosts.

  5. Refresh the brand strategy

Align the content direction with Bikanervala's vision of becoming a brand for the wider UAE audience, with clearer messaging, content themes and a consistent approach across platforms.
